The gift that keeps on giving!
This prophecy speaks of someone that was being given to the people of God. There is a personal touch to the wording. Twice it says, ‘Unto US’. This personal gift would come to them in the form of a Child, a Son. Yet, there was so much contained within this child. The passage gives us the incredible list describing so much more of what He would be. Because of the cross, this Gift that was given to Israel, becomes the Gift that is given to you. This Gift, that is received in your heart, contains so much more that you can begin to imagine.
Is it possible that you have become stale in your Christian experience? Maybe today it will be good for you to recognise afresh Who it is that lives within your heart.
