Mind the GAP (Gods Apparent Presence)

When I talk about minding the gap it's usually uttered when there is an empty void between two things, for example between the train and the platform you will hear someone say mind the gap as if it's a caution. so you don't fall through and get hurt or injured but I want to readdress that for a second and flip it sometimes it's ok to fall its human nature to fall and we will fall lord knows I fall all the time I am in no shape or form a good Christian but I serve one who is so much better than me.

So that was all as an introduction so I spoke of a void between two things with the example of a train and the platform it's quite a good analogy because we are the train and god is the platform doesn't move its and it's been their every time we have needed to use it and we are the train there but for a short minute then we are no longer there and the void between God and us is our sin.

I believe that sometimes we use our sin as a reason to not walk out into something with faith because we get bogged down on this that or the other like I'm can’t hold down a relationship because in my past I have gotten angry with my partner so how could anyone love me and I'm really scared of one day being rejected or even I'm a lair I woke up this morning and lusted over someone who I don't even know or I have inappropriate conversations with work collages I'm not even a good witness to my Christians friends I use the word profanities too much in church I have this bitter heart towards a buck ejit in the church because he annoys me and I am not saying for one second that we don't need to fix all these things about ourselves because we do but what I'd say is that we have Grace so we can take that step.

I don't care what your step of faith is I'd advise you to get your things in order and do it because God's grace covers it all God became flesh in Christ Jesus and hung on a tree to absolve you of all your sin past present and future so we as Christians don't need to worry about the void between us and God because grace covers the void we know as your sin an example of this is in Hebrews 8:10-12 New Living Translation (NLT) "10 But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 11 And they will not need to teach their neighbours, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying, ‘You should know the Lord.' For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know me already. 12 And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins." The fact that God said it his word he has chosen to forget our sins is amazing because that is true forgiveness when someone forgets the hurt you caused them and chooses never to bring it up again and is still able to love you and me despite all our faults just remember that is the God we serve. I could use this sort of forgiveness with some people in all honesty.

So how do we see Gods apparent presence in all of this? that is the question that you have to pose to yourself daily.
